YFN Lucci & Rich The Kid Attempt To "Double Up"

Today, YFN Lucci came through to deliver his new 3: The Sequel EP, which featured a single guest appearance from Rich The Kid. Though it’s been a minute since the “Plug Walk” rapper’s debut album The World Is Yours, it would appear that Rich is back on his bullshit, having dropped off a dope new single in “Splashin.” Say what you will about the man, but he has a great ear for production, and is currently shaping up a solid track reputation of making hits. Now, the Kid has come through for a verse on Lucci’s “Double Up,” which feels more like more of a reflective loosie than a polished single.

That’s not to say “Double Up” is not enjoyable. The production is serviceable, as are the performances from both Lucci and Rich; the former shines in particular, taking a measured approach in reflecting on his position in the game. Still, it might have been nice to see the pair standing on a united front, as Rich seems more content in reflecting on the lavish nature of own boss status. What do ya’ll think of this one?
