There is a lot of work involved when it comes to breaking a new rap artist. Being in the business for over 20 years, I have several primary reasons Hip-Hop artists don’t make it today…lack of work ethic and they are afraid to take risks. Well, neither of those accusations fall in Scoob Da Dawg’s category.
I met Scoob one day before I boarded a plane to North Carolina for a DJ music conference. One thing that stood out about the rapper and that he doesn’t believe in limits. The rapper from Columbus Ohio looks at obstacles like sidewalk cracks….he steps right over them. This is why it’s no surprised that he already has his current single Throw It (Remix) featuring Bando Jonez and Grand Hu$tle artist B.O.B. currently being played on 106.7fm The Beat in Columbus Ohio. The single is also being serviced among 3 major DJ organizations which include my group The Fleet DJ’s.
As stated, Uptown Weekly got a chance to catch up to Scoob Da Dawg about his recent success and we talked about the people he surrounds himself with in the industry that will take him to the next level. I also would like to give a big shout out to DJ Con Artist from New Jersey that is currently A&Ring Scoob’s career. Con was very influential in Uptown Weekly getting this exclusive interview.
